Ivoryton, CT

Ivoryton is a village in Connecticut named for the industries using ivory which once thrived here. From imported tusks, manufacturers made combs, buttons, toothpicks, billiard balls and piano keys. At the height of the trade, 90% of the ivory brought into the U.S. passed through Ivoryton, although probably not through this post office.
